Have a blessed holiday - see you in 2011!

Ever since she's read this page, my daughter's been wanting to know about "them." I'll get to it by about page 47.

The dragon boat page! Despite it being just a doodle on lined paper, I went at this one a little more. And my daughter told me it went over really well at the lunch table.

Short day yesterday – so my daughter only took a snack, not lunch. But when I was packing her lunch bag this morning, she asked to make sure she got another page of the story today. A bit of encouragement to keep going!

My daughter is off from school for the next three days – two for the holiday, and then Monday because the school is doing teacher planning stuff. So the story will pick up again next Tuesday.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Welcome to the first page of the Lunch Note Project! I'll be putting up pages on every day that my daughter takes lunch to school. Which isn't every day. Some days are short, which means she doesn't take lunch. And there are the inevitable vacations, which means I'll be vacationing too – WOOHOO!

But I digress. Despite the big red arrow, there's no second page – on the back was just a note asking my daughter if she wanted me to keep going with these. But on those days when there are two pages, I'll put them up on the same day.

Enjoy the story, and if – like me – your kid wants lunchtime notes and you're stuck for something to write, here's your back-up.
